I think they added quite a few (We are a Chevy Dealer telling you we don't want to work on a Caddy engine) hours to your "Quote" . At those hours/price a couple stripped head bolts would take you over the cost of a new crate engine.
That'* what I had figured, which is also why I took the car to a chevy dealership.
That also turned out to be a mistake. I was pissed that my warranty wasn't covering the oil cooler lines, and for some reason they decided to scratch up two of my wheels. Looks exactly like the guy just dropped the rotor on the wheel. I went back and they refused to take responsibility, saying it was curb rash or it was my fault, even though I had pictures of the car from before.
Just another reason why I don't trust anyone else to work on my car. That list of repairs did run $2100 though.
