Default GXP mpg

Hello all,
Was thinking about buying GXP.....but the gas mileage is scaring me a little. What are GXP owners out there averaging? I read a car and driver article in which the GXP averaged 14mpg on a 400mile spirited trip. If I bought one it would be driven in Germany around 80-90mph on the autobahns.....my current 93 bonnie get an easy 25-30mpg!

Its says 17 city/24 hwy but I think thats low, I would say 28 is easily possible on the hwy once the engine is broken in a bit.

Default GXP Mileage

I justreceived my GXP here in Berlin last Friday and it has been fun tus far. Haven't had it too much on the autobahn very much just yet. I only have 180 miles on it right now and the mileage isn't the greatest just yet. Short trips, city driving, and the lack of total miles and longer trips prevents better numbers, but I am at 16 mpg right now. You should see all the Germans looking at this thing when I take off from a light. They hear this unique rumble and look. I drove by the Brandenburg Gate today and stopped at a light right at the gate. I had just revved it a little and people looked and a few took photos! It was funny and felt good at the same time. I had a Mercedes E55 AMG pull up next to me. He seemed very interested. I knew he would blow my doors off so I wasn't even going to mess with him, but mine sounded alot better.

Default MIleage

I don't think I've gotten less than 16mpg on a tank yet. I usually average around 17-18mpg. I can get around 20mpg when I drive like a "normal" driver but that isn't very often.

You havn't driven one yet have you? The V8 only sings it'* best when spiritly driven. It'* very hard to feather the throttle... ie. it'* more fun not to.
