Default Loss of power steering when wet

I've got a strange problem. If I drive through a semi-large water puddle and it splashes up my power steering goes out momentarily. It does seem to come back after 10-15 seconds. Doesn't happen during normal driving in the rain, just at low speeds in parking lots, etc.

Ideas???

Check the serpentine belt. Sounds like it'* worn and then slips when wet.

I would check to see if the WSS sensors are plugged in tight as well. Serpentine belt on an '05? Not likely. I've really put my N* thru it'* paces, at 39k, belts still like new.

IIRC the 00+ guys said this is pretty common. There seems to be a way for water to splash up on the belt. Being wet it can slip for a moment or so until it dries out.

Last I heard the best fix was dodge puddles.
