Default And the verdict is.....

Just got it back from the dealer. Heads up display was found loose and repaired. The problems with the a/c and pass seat couldn't be duplicated. Two different people drove it and reset the instant economy meter. They drove it 55 mph and saw 26 on the meter. I guess my wife has some explaining to do on her driving habits. roflmao More to come....

Hmm, I know that struggle! I'm always watching my "average mpg" meter and adjusting my driving to keep my mileage in the 21-22 range... my wife drives the car for a couple days and comes back with the mpg at 18!

I keep reminding her... "Cruise control is your friend!"

I have a feeling my instant mileage display is not going to come up on my Aurora much :P It takes all the fun out of spirited driving

I don't mean to go negative on the Bonne here but I wish we hadn't bought it. It only get'* withen 2-3 mpg of the Yukon we traded in and we drove both the same way. We have had some glitches in the electronics that can't be duplicated at the dealer. Now the coolant light is on so I have to figure if my brand new car is leaking or just not full from the factory. To end on the goood note I will again say that the brakes are fantastic (minus the dust) and the stereo is excellent.

hahaha... barely noticable. My biggest complaint is with myself. I wasn't prepared for this fuel economy. The car is fun to drive and looks damn good. I am just mad that i dropped 35k for 2-3 mpg. The salesman said his caddy with the same engine got 28 and my bro-n-laws Mark VIII with same size engine got 24 to 28. All I wanted was 22. I can afford the gas and will "suffer" thru it.

Good... now stop bitching and have fun driving it! Lol...

There'* tons of resources out there for finding out about that stuff ahead of time, and multiple sources to find out fuel economy from alone. I knew what I was getting into with fuel economy with my '93 Bonne (I drive mostly city miles, so fuel mileage sucks, but I also don't drive alot, so it evens out ) and I have no complaints. The Aurora I'm getting will probably be worse, and I'll have to put 89 octane in her, but I know about it, and that'* the important thing. I won't be surprised, or will have no good reason to be

You HAVE to research. And never trust just one source, either. Just good consuming

I mean, seriously man, I'd kill to be able to have a GXP... maybe you

Kyle... I didn't just see this thing driving by and purchase it. We spent 2 1/2 weeks researching it. (the most I ever have on a car) I loooked on the net and didn't find this place til after we owned it. The sticker on the window said 17-24. We don't get 17. Whoever put that on the window outta be shot. If your gonna kill to own a car, don't waste it on this one. The simple fact is in all my research the one thing I never did was use the economy computer while test driving. Lesson learned. What is really bothering me now more then the economy are the glitches. I put the pass seat all the way back waiting for the family and damn near couldn't get it back up. It came up about a half inch at a time. The a/c randomly shuts off cruising down the highway. Dealer can't duplicate either problem. The car knows how I feel and is winning. Of the 3 Bonnevilles I have owned. The straight 3.8 was by far the best one.
