Some time this summer Im going to probibaly replace the back speakers add an amp and then get 1 10" or 12" sub.

I would not recomend 2 tweeters.
Separating the tweeter and mid-range speaker from a component system is not recomended. They should not be more than 6" apart.
I have mine alot father than they but it'* not recommended.

I'm not interested in starting a war here...but I'm not hearing a lot of reasons why it sucks :?
Do I have to wait until it breaks until I realize it sucks? Either that or I have nothing else to compare it too...know what I mean?
I have no qualms about my Kenwood front speakers tho, those ARE great!

I learned that sony ALWAYS overrates their stuff. If you compare a 400 watt sbwoofer from sony and another from MTX. The MTX will hit hard and Sony hits the bottom. Same price and watt rating . Sony will ALWAYS look a little bit nicer. Radio'* . Kenwood will give great controls over your system Q and sony will give you great control of thepower bottom. Sony lost there name in the late 90'*. They have great radios , probably the best in the market . You just don't have enough money to buy them . The last GREAT radio made by sony was about 3 years ago and sold for about 2000.00 !
It'* the OLD mobile ES line. The new xplod is a cheaper ;ine of crap. The ES line they have now is the same xplod stuff with less red.
For now , sony sucks. I would recommend Kenwood for radio'* . MTX for amp'* and sub'* (great new line) , infinity for mids. Monster cable for RCA'* and power supply.

Okay I don't know about sony decks but other components I have heard really bad stories. Friends of mine have blown speakers and amps after one month, and they played them at reasonable power, not extreme, it'* just I have heard to many bad stories from reliable sources such as local audion shops. With the statement about sony over rating, every company does it especially on amps. With amps now if it says 1000 watts you are probably getting about 600. The new Alpine digital amps are the only ones I know of that are true to what it says on the amp.

Thank you gents.
This makes sense now. Good advice for me to keep in mind once I'm in the market for an amplifier or sub.
Chances are it will go into my next Bonne. Don't want to spend to much on aftermarket audio, and risk something happening to the car, after 14 years in leary to do to much.
Lots to think about!
