Audio Plans -- Need Advice
Alright guys, after doing a fair amount of research, I think i've determined my plan of attack for my car stereo. I have a pioneer premier head unit I want to install, along with a pair of 12" MTX 8000 subs, a JBL 600.1 amp to power them, and a pair of Pioneer 6x9s with a 200 watt (RMS) Alpine amp to power them. What I need from you guys is any advice as to problems i'd run into, advice, or tips. The car is a '99 SSE with the Bose 8 speaker setup. The only adjustments on the stock unit are bass and treble sliders. I plan to remove the factory unit, and buy an appropriate wiring harness. This harness http://www.crutchfield.com/*-vZoa4QU...=751&I=127OEM2 appears to be what I need (not sure about compatability). I want my hu to power the front 4 speakers (I'm hoping this is feasable, even though I've read that the bose speakers may be 1 or 2 ohms). I'd also like my headunit to only power the rear tweeters (1" I believe). My #1 cause for this is because the factory system (either the hu itself or the bose amps) restrict how loud you can turn the stereo up. Secondly, I'd like to use my hu'* rcas to run a seperate amp for my aftermarket rear 6x9s (i plan to use the rcas from my headunit to go to my 6x9 amp, i'll merely disconnect the bose amp to the 6x9s and connect my amp to them). Lastly I'll run the subwoofer rcas from my hu back to power the subs. The main thing i'd like to hear from you guys is 1: Will my head unit be ok to power the front 4 and rear tweeters 2: If #1 isnt possible, can i just use the stock bose amps but turn them up more and 3. Is that the correct adapter, or does anyone know of an alternative they've used that suits my desired setup. Thanks guys, and p.*. if anyone has general audio questions such as wiring, speaker quality, and box building,im good at all that stuff.

1. yes it should be....you will still need the bose amp turning on with the HU of you will get no sound out of any of the speakers....Billboost37 has the procedure to turn on the amp with the HU nailed down
2. you need the Bose amp turning on
3. Personally might not run rear fill, and then just leave the holes in the rear deck without speakers. this way more Bass will enter the cabin

To power the bose amp..you will find an orange wire on your factory deck ...it'* the only wire on a small connector. That is the amp turn on wire and needs 12+V to turn on. W/o the bose amp turned on .. you will get nothing out of the speakers.
I used a standard harness found at parts stores, but found it to be missing some pins for dimming and amp out etc. I bought a second one and pulled wires out of it to add to my first harness.
If you get one of these connectors and need wires..LMK.. i've got them here and don't need them.

I'm a bit confused. I dont want or need the amps coming on at all. I plan on letting my hu run the front speakers, and the rear tweeters. I need a way of bypassing the amplifiers and running the front 4 and rear 2 tweeters right off my hu. The rear 6x9s are getting replaced and getting ran off an aftermarket amp. I'm also confused from the first reply, I think you were assuming I want my hu to run to the amps then to the speakers. I've found that the stock stereo limits how loud the stereo will go, this is undesireable for a multitude of reasons. I was hoping running the 6 speakers right off my hu will generate louder sound.
