Seriously. There are two white tab/clips on the backside of each trim piece. They are very brittle BTW. You will need a skinny, long flatblade screwdriver to pop them out of the sheet metal. No biggie if you break them...they all get broke, sooner or later.
I found the white tab your talking about but how do I get them out? Do I have to do something to middle gently?

I have mine hardwired into my radio circuit, however it'* mounted at the bottom of the windshield. I really like it compared to the cig lighter idea in two aspects: Can't forget to turn it on... and you can't see ANY wires, except a 1" piece that disappears into the vent piece on the dashboard.
