The color is in the dash, not the lights. You're better off with just white bulbs, unless you want a deeper red (red bulbs), orange (yellow bulbs), or purple (blue bulbs). May or may not owrk that way. It'* been a long time since my theater production classes and working light filters...

there are prolly 6-7 bulbs behind there in the SE, and 9-10 in the SSE/SSEi cluster

It has been done, by both me and harofreak, its a tough job but if you are interested, pm me with any questions. here is a link to my post about changing the dash lights, i used a site named autolumintation.com....they have the best light dispursing led'*....only problem is they dont fit into the bases of the existing lights so u might have to do some soldering. its actually really easy, just takes patience.
