LEDs messing up traction control
hmm, had this issue a while back...posted about it...
LEDs are in my tail lights, right? okay..now traction control isnt working. what did the dealer say again?
its the resistance. the lights are somethign do with 5 volts, and when the computer reads that its not 5 volts, it throws the code off, which therefore shuts off traction control. im nowhere near an electronics specialist, not even a junkie or somewhat intelligent about it, but the guy said the only way to get the code to work properly would to make it so the taillight read 5 volts. anyone have any idea how to do that??
please help :( i love my LED tails

if bad bulbs cause your TC to turn off GM really made a big mistake with this one. i honestly can't believe that this is the case. so i burn out a bulb and suddenly my TC doesn't work...it makes no sense. for a try you can put bulbs back in and seen that you regain TC right? if that does fix your problem, which i doubt, here are your two and only 2 solutions:
solutions:
1: buy bulbs so the resistance will be correct
2: buy resistors to put in line so the resistance will be correct. usually companies that sell the LEDs also sell lil in line resistors you can use so you don't have this problem. it will also fix any fast blinking lights or bulb error msgs you may receive.
why would you want TC anyways?

thanks this time =)
i could care less about traction control, but the last time i put them in, it ruined the computer inside, the EBCM (electronic brake control module) which in turn shut off TC and ABS permanently. how?? i have no clue whatsoever, but thats what the dealer said. this time theyre tellin me its hapening again and to take them out before it ruins it. theyre tellin me that the light is off, but the EBCM is still functioning, but soon it may ruin it again.
make sense? :-\

i was only kidding about TC it is useful in many situations
i'd say throw bulbs in asap if that'* the case! they do make 'clear'(usually silver or silverstar make the funky colored ones) bulbs that light up amber if that'* your main reason for enjoying the lighting of the LEDs
btw i updated your other thread with more useful info. sorry if i came off brash.
