a 15"dc XL will get a choke feeling goin on with some songs lol. how bout a Fi BL? good sub, bout your price range and i can help get ya a desing(pretty much the same size as mine) so it will fit for sure. mines a 98 so cant be too dif lol and if ya need help with anything feel free to hit me up. i framed my trunk off to seal the sub off facing forward cuz its thee best sounding out of every other way ive aimed it. everytime i breath through my nose it shakes my nostriles and i can see em moving lol(yeah i got a not so tiny sniffer lol. i flex the pop machines and big windows at my girls work from 10 feet away. 1 15" and around 2k RMS in a bonne =). i also took the rear seat back out and unbolted that arm rest too, it opens it up a nice bit to let in more air/sound come into the cabin area

Good amp choice but I can't comment on the subs, never heard them.

I wouldn't say it'* spendy for the power as much as the AQ is cheap for the power. You know there aren't very many amps out there as reliable as that Alpine that put out as much power that cost less. AQ is one of the exceptions indeed.

They also have garbage, like the ZA1200 amp he has/had....I know cause my gf has one too

Very good point!

Helps give better control over the cone, stronger motor force....there'* other reasons i'm sure but these are the two that come to mind.

I don't know about heart stopping bass but i'm sure you'd be happy with some AQ SDC 15'* and that Alpine amp. $160 isn't much of a budget for subs, especially when heart stopping bass is your goal, but for the money it'* gonna be hard to beat the AQ SDC'*.

shee if this kid still has this one for sale for $225!!!!! They put out 1600watt rms at 1 ohm. i sent mine in and had it modded so it was 1/2 ohm stable. When the bass would hit it would stall the newish car it was installed in. But that was modded. And it wouldnt get hot! pushing 2 Audiobahn Flame q'* in a sealed box to there limits with under 1/4 gain and BB off!
LOL. My Sundown SAZ-1500D is .5 ohm stable out the box and can do 1600+ @ 1ohm if you have the electrical to back it up. Just saying

Possibly, but not for sure. Alot of things factor in to that....would be nice if it were that easy though.
