That amp is insane. I had one in the past and it was to much for my two 12" Audiobahn flame Q'* and those were hooked up in stereo. I dont care if the amp is a monoblock or 2 channel. manufacturer, reliability and options(cooling fans, ect) is what im looking at first.

Numbers talk. If that amp will put down 1600W @ 1 ohm bridged, then I really don't see how you expect to push two 3000W RMS subs. Sure it will be of very high quality with great options, but you're not going to push 6000W RMS out of an amp rated for 1600W.

True it wont push 6000w but when i had my Flame Q'* in a sealed box with that PCX 2400. I had the gain below 1/2 and i thought i was going to blow the subs right out of the box. the 2" surrounds were at there max. and those were 1100w RMS each. and no my bass boost wasnt maxed. and i only had one of the two powers and grounds hooked up. stock alt. and the subs had a */n ratio of about 97

the closer you get to powering them with the right RMS the better control of the subs you will get. its not all about movment cuz i ran my level 4 15 rated at 1000rms off my sundown SAE1000D and it was moving liker a **** then i got my SAZ1500Dand it wasnt bottoming out cuz its built good like that lol and took the extra 500RMS like nothing. no stinky coil or warm dust caps cuz i set my gains with a DMM. id suggest rethinking your sub with something a bit more suitable for that amp. that would be like me gettin the 80 pound level 5 DC and only pushing 1500rms to it expecting it to do damage cuz of the sub being one of the baddest they have. but ask anybody about that and they would say go with an XL cuz its more of a daily sub and dont really come to life til it gets its rms power to it. i meen you could get some DC level 3s and those would do some work off that power. look up the DC level 3s on youetube, i know theres plenty of vids of them on there

I know they'll work. I know they'll sound loud. But I'm willing to bet you anything that an amp suitable for those subs will make them sound louder, more controlled, and more accurate. This is not about perception here, its about numbers. What you felt or what it looked like or how it sounded has so many factors that we won't even go there.

For example, I ran my Kenwood 900W @ 2 ohms at 1 ohm (the amp is rated at 1 ohm stable...supposedly) on the Hifonics 1600W 15" sub. It sounded great (when it wasn't overheating), till I put in a Directed 1500D 1100W @ 1 ohm amp. It sounded a lot better with that amp, and I thought it was enough, till I upgraded that to a Hifonics 1600W @ 1 ohm amp, and that sounded even better and hit even harder than the Directed amp.

Point being, you're going to be underpowering your subs. Will it be loud? Sure. 1600W of anything will be loud as hell. Will it be the right way to do it? No. You'll risk damaging your subs by overpowering them like that.

I think u mean underpowering them... But anyhow... Im just pondering right now... The reason i am leaning toward the PPI is because of their qualityand built in cooling fans. They will blow any other "1600 watt" amp out of the water. and the adjustability is great. After running this amp and two Flame Q'* i also aquired a set of 12" Cadence Beasts. This amp was pushing all four. but i turned my gain up and there was so much power draw that the car would stall if not being revved. So i had to get a larger alt.. and a month or so later i sent that amp to CA to get modded. PPI made the amp .5 stable and beefed up a couple parts on the inside for about $180. and when i put my stereo back together... TAH-DAH loudest stereo on the streets of Eaton Rapids/Charlotte area. Amp wouldnt get hot voltage wouldnt drop below 11-12 volts. And i would play em for hours at a time. No problem. All im saying is i have had great success with set ups like this. Amp might seem small compared to the subs but i will run a high quality amp that will out perform a "3000 w Hifonics" but im just in the searching phase right now
