that would be nice to fill the hole in the dash and alpine is a good name but you can usually do better like get ones with mp3 capability and more bells and whistles if you just get a 1 din unit. not that bad of a price for a headunit like that though if you wanted to just do cd and radio. and about touch screen its cool dont get me wrong but when it turns off its real annoying cuz you see all the fingerprints all over it and that just bothers me. now if it was a in dash touch screen monitor then it goes in and you dont see the fingerprints but yah thats a bit out of your pricerange that your looking at.

for an indash with touch screen, that would run you around $1000.....little more than your $300 limit you gave us to work with. but if you have the money go for it!

careful on indashes on ebay and certian websites because of warranties on the stuff. on indashes i would like to have a long warranty that covers everything because of the motors, gears, screen and all the things that could go wrong with it. you will most likely be ok but i like to play it safe with expensive equiptment like that.

Give www.hookedontronics.com a shot. They have some amazing deals and sweet prices on Alpine Head Units. Out of the 13 Alpine Head Units they carry only one is over 300 bucks. My best firend loves this site, he bought 2 Alpine Type R 12'* for only $112 a peice.

[edit] All the stuff is brand new and not any refurbished stuff
