what are u looking to do ???? and the Delco uses 8 speakers.....the Front 5.25 and the tweeter are powered by the HU....the Back 6X9 is powered by the amp with the gain slider...the rear tweets are powered by the HU...

the signal goes from the HU to the amp then to the rear 6x9'*, as mentioned earlier all other speakers are powered by the HU

NOW the BOSE is a totally different Story

Well just out of curiosity (and mayby bragging rights) id like to get a Bose from the junk yard and replace the Delco one with it. OR get a Bose but a different aftermarket model.

BOSE is a really good name...for home and personal Audio.....its crap for cars.....NOW im not saying that it sounds bad.....it can hold its own, but it you are going to the trouble of changing out your stock stuff....just go aftermarket

I'd go aftermarket as well. However, if I had the BOSE system stock in my car I would have just kept that over upgrading. It'* not that bad at all... especially in the 2000+ models.
