Volfenhag?
I went to a pawn shop and bought a pair of Volfenhag speakers on a whim.
http://www.volfenhagaudio.com/
The speakers are 4 ohm 350W 5 1/4" speakers. They were only $16.99, and I had to try them out.
Unfortunately, my Sansui R-30, used for trying out speakers, blew one of the channels for some strange reason. It had already blown out the rear left speaker output, so I used it only as a 2-speaker stereo. Well, today it blew the other speakers' left channel. This is a shame.
I'm trying out one speaker at a time now, and the speakers are very weak. My 6.5" Sony Xplod speakers blow them away with bass, but highs are similar, though more realistic with the Volfenhags. I'm sure it could also be the amplifier.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried out some Volfenhag speakers and has stories to tell. I'm going to scroll through the previous threads to see if I can find some other Volfenhag users as well.

Thanks
I like their highs. However, I heard a few 6.5" and 6x9" Polk Momo speakers playing rock and techno today, so I can't ever be satisfied with any other speaker again.
I bought the speakers because of the price and the name. I didn't recognize it, but it'* something German I can bark at my friends for comic relief in case I turn on my radio and some really girly song plays. Of course, I don't listen to Britney Spears or anything like that, but you never know when the local alternative rock or classical music station will be bought out.

For example, EF-61 (which is what I have) website says 350. I paid 175 shipped
HD-62 website says 450 and they can be gotten for 330 shipped

Those speaker ratings are a bit high. I wonder what will happen if you toss 350 RMS at them all day?
I have Polk DB all the way around and couldnt be happier!!

Polk MOMO are pretty good, but they put some of that price into the looks and MOMO name for sure.
