Where to connect the remote turn on wire
What fuse did you connect the remote wire to on a 2000+? I have tried the cd, audio, and ign. I'm lost to where to connect it.
Also just out of curiosity, where did you ground your amp in the trunk?
Thanks

not sure on what fuse to use I know if you are installing an aftermarket head unit the remote wire will run from the back of the radio harness all the way to the amp if you are using the factory head unit you can buy an adapter that you can splice into your rear speakers the will give you rca jacks and a place to hook the remote wire to as far as the ground for your trunk I have always cut a small slit in the carpet fish the wire through and use an existing bolt if at all possible if not a self tapper into the body will work

I don't think you're going to find a fuse that will make you happy. On my 02, I found out that basically everything stays hot for like 10 minutes after the car turns off. So, if you tap a fuse for your remote wire, the amp will stay on for a bit after the car is turned off. Not the end of the world, but something you should know. Can't speak on which one to use, though, because I didn't end up doing it. Use a DMM and you'll find a fuse that'* hot when the ignition is on.

Here is a link to where I posted about my h/u install. https://www.gmforum.com/t282444/
I also ran a switch from the cigarette 12v source to the red accessory wire to the h/u. I have a choice now of turning the cd player off or flipping the switch off.
Are you meaning your accessory wire or the remote wire for the amp?
I grounded my amp in the same location the battery is grounded. Although I have the amp sitting in the front passenger corner of the trunk. So that the ground wire wasn't more than 3 ft..

Certified Car Nut
I used the cigarette lighter as well. Which for me wont cause any problems because it is not used. No Smoking in the Venom. I grounded my Sub Amp directly to the body. Lots of threaded things in the rear of the trunk to choose to take a nut off and slip a ground connector under.

From the looks of things, if your fuse block is under the rear seat, fuse 2 is the heater/AC blower fuse.
I am in the same boat as you, looking for a remote turn on for my amp. I tested all of them but I cant find one that is switched on when the key is in ACC. Plenty of them that go on with it in the run position. As someone stated above, some of them retain power for 10 minutes after the car has been turned off. That would be fine with me. The amp isnt going to drain the battery in that amount of time. Anyone know which fuses stay on for a short time after the car is turned off?

cigarette lighters?? dependin on wat type of sounds u got its a simple installation...
power wire (red or yellow) should be connected at amp and ran to the fuse box under the hood (there is a bolt between the fuse boxes where u can connect that end of the wire to.
remote wire (blue) should be connected at amp and ran to the back of the cd player connecting to the power antenna lead (this is your accessory wire)
ground wire (black, clear) should be connected at amp and grounded to a bolt inside trunk (whether it be somewhere under the carpet or the bolt to the left behind carpeting near ceiling of trunk on driver'* side
simple

you can also run a power wire, whether it be the regular remote wire thats probably 18 guage, or you could do a 12 guage one, from the battery to the amp'* remote lead, and then insert a switch so you could have your amp on whenever you want, or whenever you dont want it on. its much easier than finding a spot
