Default '98 Factory Radio Problem

Well, I just got done installing an alarm with remote start in the bonne. Got it all together and everything works fine...except for the radio. I unhooked it to make the install easier, didnt even think about the theftlock, but what exactly does the theftlock lock? The radio works, but the display is VERY dim...all of the buttons and everything come on with the headlights, but the display doesnt lite up at all...if it is in direct sunlight you can see ithe display is working, but it has no lighting...could a bulb have burned out in the radio? the weird thing is that it worked just fine before i took it out :?

EDIT: Its fixed!! Somehow the lightbulb burned out in the time I took it out and put it back in. :? I did some researching and found a website that sells the offical GM bulbs (corvetteradios.com) but they are $16 + $2 shipping. Did a little more research, then I found a couple threads on automotive forums that suggested a bulb at radio shack...part number is 272-1141, they are $1.29....so I picked up 2 of them, soldered the new one in...works perfect...w00t...just a little tip if anyone else has the same problem and doesnt wanna pay out the wazoo for a new bulb
