Is there any way that i can
take the volume limiter off in the radio? I have a delco that came from a chevy and I needed to see if there is anyway to disconnect the limiter. Every time i try to cut the volume up a little high the radio cuts off and i have to cut the radio back on again and turn the volume down. If thre is anyway I can do this, I would really appreciate the help.

keeps from busting your speakers. i dont want to go aftermarket yet. and if i cant get rid of that limiter its only one more factory option i can go to and that may be gettign a monsoon radio. if it still has that limiter or noise reduction on there i have to get me anotehr pioneer.

About all I can think of is add in a 1ohm resistor to each side
it'* basically going into "protect" mode based on the resistance
in the speaker circuit. provide a little extra resistance and is should'nt
cut out so quickly.... Then again it may not play as loud with this mod
either....

right. when i had trhe delco pontiac radio the radio would play at max but the volume would get low real fast when you turn it up all the way. the chevy radio has the potential for only one sec. it will get load and you think it will stay at that volume and then it mutes out. then you have to reset it by cutting the radio off and cut it back on. i wish my friend that i sold my car to would let me try his radio. he is really being a butt about it. i wish i would have took that radio out, especially by it being given to me. i think that radio will actually work with no problems. Pat, how mych do you wnat for the radio again?
