That'* the idea - keep everything else stock for now.

What you just said makes sense, because that extra connector with the orange wire gets left behind when trying to connect the aftermarket HU. Before even posting I was thinking, "well why not just splice that wire to another orange "always hot" wire", but held off of course. It looked like a fused connection though that plugged in. If I just splice in a line connecting to another hot wire with a fuse will I be set or is there more to it?
