Default Aftermarket Head Unit with Steering Wheel Contols?

Is there an aftermarket head unit with steering wheel contol inputs? My CD player quit working and I'd like to replace it on my 97 SSE, but don't want to give up my steering wheel contols. - Thanks!

You can get a PAC SWI-X steering wheel control interface thing if you get a HU with a remote. It learns the signal from the remote and taps into the steering wheel buttons. I had one and it worked great. I think several others here have them as well.

My car wasn't listed on that list of cars I saw that PAC offers it for. Does anybody know if this thing will work with a very small company head unit, for a 99 bonneville. 99 is not listed on there cars that it works for... but it says 93-2002 Pontiacs without heater controls... i thought all cars had heater controls lol

no, they mean heater controls on the steering wheel, which we dont have....

you're car is under that 93-02 w/o heater controls

i installed my pac swi-ps this afternoon, it'* very simple....i had to tap into 12V acc power, ground, and the green wire for signal from the steering wheel controls...plugged into my headunit, programmed the buttons, and works like a charm

i would think as long as you have the steering wheel controls and the signal line going to your headunit you should be able to try it.....

if you order from a place like crutchfield.com, they have a 30 day guarantee with free return shipping, so if it doesn't work, you just send the thing back and ur out no money
