Tony, I moved your question to the Audio section of the forum. It will get more attention from the audio gearheads there.
Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.
Also, take a minute and introduce yourself in the Introductions for New Members area. We like to get to know our members.

I'm a fan of Sony Xplod, I remember when I put the new speakers in but hadn't changed my head unit yet they sounded amazing, but anything name brand is usually a good buy (Sony, JVC, Kenwood, Kicker, things you might see in BestBuy) stay away from Pyle, and the $5 ones you see on Ebay, any questions on a brand we would be happy to answer
I'm sure someone knows the output of the stock head unit to get you the best sounding speakers without blowing them to pieces lol

Are you SURE you don't have Monsoon? I know for SURE you don't have Bose because in 02 they switched from Bose to Monsoon to be the top of the line.
How many speakers do you have? 4, 6, or 8? If you have 8 you will probably have the Monsoon system. The easiest way to check though is look in your trunk. Pull that plastic piece that is held onto the back wall by magnets down, and look on the driver side of the wall. If there is an amp there that says Monsoon, well its self explanatory.
My car came equipped with the Monsoon system, but the previous owner put in a new H/U and didn't like it I guess, so they re-wired the car.
This is what I'm getting for my car...link may or may not work though.

If I had it to do all over again, I would go with all focal. I would get their entry level components and their poly glass 6x9'*. You can get them on woofersetc.com pretty cheap. They are still a little expensive compared to xplodes or other brands but they are a very high quality brand. I think they are the stock brand in lamborghini. I dont even sell them and I want to buy them...
