Default Aftermarket Amp for 6x9'*

I want to install a second amp to my 6x9'* in the rear. I already have a amp on my subwoofers. Is this possible and want do I need to do this. Also is there a way to rewire my system so that I could use the Gain slider again???

If you're thinking about amping the stock 6x9s, don't. They have a very low power handling, probably around 15-20 RMS. If you are talking about aftermarket 6x9s, we'd need more information to really help.

You can convert the system to use the subwoofer gain control amp.

You have to make sure the amp still powers on with the radio by making sure the pink power antenna wire also goes to pin 8 on the amplifier.

Also make sure Fuse 11 feeds 12V to pin 1, and that you have chassis ground to pin 4.

The inputs for the amp are:
Yellow pin 22 Left -, brown pin 10 left+
Blue pin 21 right-, Dark Blue pin 9 R+

The outputs for the subs are:
black/light green pin 16left-, blue/white left+ pin 15
Black/lt green pin 14 right-, dark blue/white pin 13 right +

Depending on how much power you will be running total, You will probably need to upgrade your main power wire from your battery if your running 8 or 4 gauge. You will also need to purchase a 1 in and 2 out power distributution block to split the power coming from your battery. It doesnt HAVE to be a 1 in and 2 out if you cant find one, just as long as it will accept the gauge wire your running with your system.

Depending on the amperage draw of your amps, you will have to also upgrade your fuse rating at the battery.

Run the main power wire into the distro block then run two power wires from the distro block, one wire into each amp. You should also ground your amps at the same location to avoid any ground loop noise. Hook up the remote wire (blue) to the same location your sub amp remote wire is hooked up to (power antenna I assume) and you should be in business.

PM me if you have any questions
