Default Speaker install

Hello,

I just bought new speakers for my 2000 SE and I need some type of illustration or guide to dismantle the front door and dismantle the back speakers.

Thanks

I am doing this from memory, so bear with me.

the rear deck
remove the bottom of the back seat
remove the seat belt bolts
behind the top part of the back seat, just below the head rests there will be retaining clips that you will need to remove by compressing and pulling the set toward yourself after you already compressed the clips together. I suggest using a pair of needle nosed pliers to compress the clips. there is also one in the middle somewhere.
after you have done this, you will need to remove the "C" pillars. They are the grey plastic peices in the front corner of the rear deck. they are held in with two body clips. grab it about 3/4 of the way to the top using both hands and pull towards you. There may be two body clips on the part of the rear deck that is covered by the top of the back seat but i dont remember. After you remove all of these items, you should be able to lift the rear deck up and out. While you are in there, install some sound deadner because there will be no better time to do so. You can also save yourself alot of trouble by mounting them from the bottom up instead of dropping them in from the top. That should be it.

as for the doors, first roll down you windows. I am pretty sure that they are only held on by body clips around the perimiter of the door. First off, remove the tweeter housing in the corner. It just pops off.
Then start at the bottom and work your way around.
unplug the wires plugged into the lock and window switches.
after that, it should be free and all you will need to do is lift upward. not outward.
that should get it. Let me know if you get stuck on anything
