Big 3 Completed for tommorrows competition 0 gauge is fun
Well just got done doing the big 3 for my first competition tommorrow.. Figured every little bit will help..
few things learned:
1/0 gauge wire doesnt like to bend LOL
Pontiac Bonneville wire is crap its like 8 gauge (see pic)
My car hates me..

The wire was so stiff it held the battery 1/2" off the battery box (i had to use the battery weight and my weight to push it down and secure it.
I have some higher quality welding wire (much more flex) in the works.

What size alternator do you have there Ibanezcollector?
I have a 140amp alternator on my Lesabre.
I am running a Orion 225 HCCA to my 12" Infinity 1232W and a JVC (I forget the model) with like 100x2 watts peak @ 2 ohms. Would I really benefit much with switching to even 4 guage wire from the battery to the alternator?
BTW, that is some serious wiring there, compared to what I typically see around here. Nice work too, I might add.

was that a piece of water hose to the left of the 4 gage or is it really wire, damn! thats big! Nice pic to give the relative size of the size of 0 gage.

I went with 2 gauge,and it wasnt too bad to work with ,and i also upgraded alt wire to a gauge for now,I might 2 gauge it later on.Good luck with the competetion and I will be putting my box order in soon .
