Default so i put in new headlights :(

Well the other day i put in some new headlights and well i noticed after about 1 hour of them being on that the left side head light when i was looking at it had almost burnt out already and i looked and i found out that there is a metal halo around that light but not around the driver side. I think that this halo caused the bulb to overheat and i was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove this piece of metal. I have a 93 ssei

Thanks

the metal wont' cause the light to melt. Touching the bulb with your hands or getting any kind of dirt, grease, or liquid will cause the bulb to melt however.

i think that your drivers side light was replaced with a aftermarket piece. there are "caps" that are on the headlight that redirect the light of the bulb. your passenger side seems to have the cap installed as it was from the factory, and your driverside is probably projecting more light but in incorrect areas.

yes in tncreases the loght output....BUT it doesnt deflect the light into the right place, so there is actually less light on the road, and more on the oncoming drivers eyes, leave the caps on

It'll make it worse. Get another light with the Halo.
