Default Breaking in new speakers

I just installed 2 Boston 6x9 speakers with an Audiobaun amp to the factory AM/FM radio in my 64 Bonneville and it seems to sound better every time I listen to it.
Is there such a thing as braking in new speakers?
Thanks.

Yes. Just keep the volume down for a while. I don't know the exact figures, but I have been a victim of not breaking in new speakers.

Yup, the parts will settle some with eachother depending on how they match up, but the big one is voice coil break in, and the surround. Take it easy for minimum 30 listening hours.

You can turn it up, just be wary. No neighborhood blasting, but some enthusiatic driving could warrant volume etc.

You do need some volume and movement and heat cycles to break them in after all

Similar to some cars. You shouldn't sit a WOT all day, but an occaisional spirited run is good.

Its really sounding good now unlike when I first turned it on.
With the Audiobaun amp the leads to the hi input jack are too close to each other, I might have had a strand shorting out.
Yesterday after I unscrewed the amp and moved it a little to finish soldering all the wires it really came alive.
I even had my kids channel on (I'm 47) and I have to admit having that base booming through my car was cool. I can understand why you younger guys dig this.
Back in my day it was having James Brown turned up as loud as possible with reverb.
Thanks for all the responses, I'll let them break in.
