Easy question
I bought Optimusprimer'* Alpine and I need to figure out some mounting brackets for it. Do the stock brakets on either side of the stock Delco unit come off? Can I reuse the stock brackets? I've got the UN6 AM/FM/Cassette with no EQ.

Karl.. Not sure what it looks like.. but I'm sure we can slip that in if you can wait til Bfest.
You'd need a mount kit.. and a wire harness (Advance I think?)

Don't know if I can wait.... It'* a 1.5 DIN and optimusprimer sold it to me with the connector and the antenna adapter. I may be fab'ing a pair of brackets if I can't reuse the stock ones.

I would just fab some, I sent you an assortment of easy to bend metal straps, and there should be more than an adaquate selection of screws in that same bag. Its simply a matter of making a bracket, then checking to see how much if any it needs to be moved, then unbend and rebend the bracket to the proper size. There are threaded holes on the sides of the alpine to use for bracket mouning. I hope this helps.

Optimusprimer is right. The Delco brackets weren't removable. It may be a year thing. Anyway, I got the deck in with some home made brackets. I may contact Alpine to get the stock ones.
