remeied my amp issue
so i had an 1 ohm load on infinity refrence 611a and it kept getting hot and clipping so i put the infinity on my 12 type r alpine and bought a mtx jackhammer jh300 for my 10 type r alpine and it sounds awesome but is 300 w too less for the 10 its 500 rms and amp is 300 @ 2 ohm that wont mess up my sub by underpowering will it????

But I'll try to help you out. I've always heard that its a lot better to overpower than to underpower your subs. Underpowering them will lead to distortion at high volumes, which will cause damage to your sub, and possibly your amp. As I mentioned in the previous thread regarding your sound system, I ran a 900W amp for my Alpine R12. I personally don't think its enough power. You always want an amp that'* as least as powerful as your sub'* RMS rating.

becaouse the 12 just doesnt cut it i dont have enough money for a bigger amp i only payed 30 bucks for the mtx and the ten was free plus the ten has better response so when the 12 is figuring out what note to hit the 10 is already on it it sounds descent im trying to trade my ten and mtx amp for another type r 12 then buy a bigger 1 ohm stable amp but untill then this is all i have

how would we go about doing that i live in franklin ky and u live in michigan ive never really done trades over the internet plus theyre pretty heavy wouldnt that be costly to ship????

Like I said before, you do not have the power to run both amps, and you will risk damaging one of your subs if you underpower it.
