I have mine at the top of the windshield on the drivers side in my civic. It'* behind a 5% sunstrip with no problems. It'* nice having it up there because you can't see it unless you stick your head in the car and look up at it.

Putting the detector behind tint will decrease laser sensitivity. However, that really doesn't matter much because once a laser hits you, the cop has your speed in less than a second.

That'* true that the cop will have you speed in less than a second... but hopefully your detector will go off when the cop is aiming at the guy in front of you.
