make a "seat" for the box. I did this in a Metro I put a system in, cut a sheet of plywood to tightly fit the strut towers, the add little rails at the edges to hold the box. The best design I found was to make it where it had to be taken out through the back seat. No chance of it sliding between the strut towers, and it'* not jumping through the seat. Or you could do what I did for a guy with a Dakota, his last box got stolen so I built him a custom box to fit behind the seat and hold two 6*9'* and a 10" sub. Then I drilled holes throught the floor of the truck, Welded bolts in and bolted the box down, then put the speakers in. The Metro has been like that for about two years and the Dakota for about six months now.

hmm all good ideas, the velcro seems simplest but since my carpet slides right with the box im not sure it would work well. i had a sort of bolt in system, but since they are 12 inches and the box is bigger i had to drill them from the back of the seat to the back of the box, but i had to take off quickly one day to get into a busy lane and they popped right out, i was real pissed. also, maybe someone can answer this question... when they slid forward they seemed to hit so much harder, more airspace? should i turn them around?

actually i dont have to use my 2x4...the box fits so tight between the body that it cant move. 36" will give you just enough clearance to jam it in there, and it wont come out
