Speaker sizes , front door panels , rear deck?
I havent actually brought my car home yet because It doesn't run yet. I havent had time to check out the sizes of the speakers. crutchfield says 4" or 4 1/2" front , 6x9 or 6 1/2 rear???? I looked into the trunk earlier while making a payment on it(waiting for rest of tax refund)And they did not seem to be 6x9'*??? My system so far consisits of a sony xm3001sxd 1000 watt rms @1ohm amp with a fosgate rfr3110 2ohm dual voice coils 1000 watt rms 2000 max 10" sub in a sealed box with a sony mp3 /cd-r /rw head unit and a sony 444x4 for the mids!

if you have 1 oval grill on each front door, then you have 4x6s and 6x9s rear
if you have 2 oval grills on each front door, then you have 5 1/4 components and 6x9s rear.
The factory components have passive crossovers directly on the speakers.
back to your setup...that power hx2 is a very power hungry sub. i've heard people say its pointless to run them with anything less than 2000 watts. And from my experience with Sony amps, there is no way you are getting the true stated 1000 watts out of it.

If it'* a sony ES amp i'll buy it, but if it'* just a regular sony, i won't. We had w punch HX2s in a sealed box, powered by a Sony ES amp, 1000w x1ohm rms. works perfect and they play good. Yes my DEI amp costs more, but it'* built better and will be pushed much more.

its a sony xm3001sxd class d amp runs 1000x1 rms at 1ohm but only peaks at 1200 watts. I figured it would be enough to push one of the hx2 10'*. I blew a green infinity kappa 10 with the same amp and it was 1200 max 300 rms@4 ohms
the amp runs 300rms 600 peak @4ohms 600rms 1000 peak @2ohms and 1000 rms 1200 peak @1ohm. Its suprisingly stable at 1ohm also!as for components has anyone tried the audiobahn'*? I would like the polk or mb quartz performance without the price tag! Thanks

i'm actually very happy with my alpine type r'*. come with a decent price tag too....got em for 140 shipped off the net, or they're 250ish in the store.

i used to be pretty set on the boston pros....but then i heard the type r'*. cheaper prices and a lot more "fuller" sound. the pros are almost too tingy for me.

many websites said my 95 could fit 4x6s in the front, but in fact it can only fit 5 1/4s. in the back you can put in 6x9s, they may not fit perfectly but theyll fit
