Default Front door speakers

I was wondering if there is anyway to put new speakers in the doors of my 93' without taking off the whole door panel. I have taken off the bolts in the front and couldn't find anymore than that and the panel won't come off.

There are some other bolts that you will need to remove. I am not positive that this is the proper way to do it, but this is the process that i used.

If you take the light on the bottom back side of the door panel out, and then on the rear side of that you can insert a flat screwdriver and pop out the light housing. Behind the light housing there are 2 bolts that i believe are 10mm.

Then, behind the mirror adjustment *** there is one bolt, also 10mm.

If you pop out the backing behind your door handle, there is one philips screw that may need to be removed to remove the part that holds the backing you just removed in place. Remove the housing and the doorlock switch so that all is left is the handle.

After these, along with the two bolts that you have already removed are out, you will be able to pop the door pannel off, use a flat screwdriver and work your way around the outside popping the white notched holders out as you go around, be careful because you will have a lot of connectors on the back of your door and you dont want to leave it hanging or pulling on those wires.

After you get it popped off, you will need to unhook the connectors for both speakers, the door locks, power windows, power mirror, and the back lights.

I think that should be it. Let us know if you get stuck on anything else.

The whole panel has to come off (elegant design, eh?) I just read a post with explicit instructions on how to do it if you so desire.

Hopefully this is legal.
