Advice Please?
I am getting sick of my factory cd player screwing up so I am now looking into a new stereo. Its been awhile since I bought one. Does anyone know of one that plays the MP3 disks and all at a good price?? Looking for something thats fancy too. Thanks.

Here'* my deck, $180 + Install kit, MSRP is over 300. Plays MP3 cd'* uses the file names for text too, not the ID3 tags. 2 preouts, IR capability (to keep steering wheel controls) and has LOTS of power and a good sound. I used to own a pioneer with it'* crazy EQ but i installed one of these on a friends 91 firebird and i loved it. Red lights look great at night, i even have videos of it in action, with the moving bars that go along the bottom if you want....

I recently upgraded my stereo (again after being stolen ) but while I was out looking at stuff I had noticed most decks over the $150 price range are now MP3 compatable (most, not all). I personally have a $500 Pioneer which I am guessing is more than you want to spend, but there are a lot of them out the now and most large chain audio stores will have a good selection to choose from. As far as a personal recomendation I looked within a higher price range and haven't kept up on the more "affordable" priced decks. (I got this thing about haveing to get the best I possibly can )

Pioneer'* line has a steering wheel remote if your car does not currently have steering wheel controls for the radio. I have a Pioneer Premier HU, with XM tuner. Nice setup. The EQ'* are very nice. Someone did a poll a while back for brand preference, don't know if you want to go back and try to find it.

I just took pics of the interior (specifically the remote), http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/392930/3
The remote works fine from all the positions that I would think of adjusting anything while steering. The volume buttons are on the rear of the remote. I love this thing!
