About the alarm. I hooked it up to the courtesy lights for a trigger. Then you can output it to either your horn or to a siren. (I have it to the horn). It also can disable your starter via a relay. Also when it goes off it sends a wavering tone through the speakers.
It'* not anymore difficult than any other alarm, they are all just a pain.
Yes it runs independent of the factory alarm, I have it in my truck now. I went with an Alpine HU for the Bonney.

Thats pretty sweet, i wish the factory alarm on my '94 would have starter kill incorporated into it.. Guess they didn't see the logic in that for a security system 9 years ago.. Oh well

YUP. My bags were blown when I first got the car. It doesn't look like that anymore though. Looks much better with a bag that'* not blown. Will get a fresh pic as soon as I vacuum it out (NEEDS TO BE VACUUMED NOW!!!)
I personally wouldn't buy another one of these Pioneer 1.5 DIN units. They aren't that big of a problem unless you are looking for some clean sound. They have lots of nice features (I only have the 47) and with the 77 you also get a remote, dual pre-outs, DFS alarm, and one or two other things I can't think of.

They dont come with a holder for the faceplate, and you wont find one aftermarket too. They do bolt up nice though, but for the same money you can get a nicer unit with a nicer screen, and more features.

My friend installed the pioneer cd player for me. It took him all of 20 minutes. I am very pleased with the appearance and functionality of this unit. I'm having a blast burning cd'* on my pc and enjoying them in my car.

Hows the sound quality? You got subs hooked up to it? Using the internal amp?
Im getting ready to order two Infinity® Perfects™ from Ikesound.com® (sorry if I'm not allowed to post that name here) just trying to figure out PayPal®.
Its going to be sick can't wait until i get them
Im getting a dual sealed enclosure from Futureshop® on friday when we go to Sudbury® this weekend.
That Pioneer® deck might be the last thing i can do now because i had to buy a new rim for $125 +shipping...
