Is this actually meant for audio then? Sounds like they must have just been generating noise?

It does produce sounds, it moves air just like a speaker. thats all sounds is, movement of air.
Adire had somthing similar before they went out of business.
Eminent makes a similar product for the home, a variable vane fan to move massives amount of air.

Currently I'm trying to finish up my install. I'm using some older source units, more SQ oriented. most stuff was bought second hand to get the prices i wanted.
