Default 1995 S10 Radio Swap

I just got a really nice 1995 *-10 for my youngest daughter. She'* a pickup girl. It came with a factory AM/FM cassette. What is the easiest and cheapest way to swap the factory cassette for a factory or aftermarket CD player? So far the factory CD players I've seen are for 1998 and up.

that may be cheaper initially but gm radios from the 90'* ussully end up with the displays going out and other random failures, personally i wouldn't waste any money on that. any radio from crutchfeild over 120 comes with free mounting and wiring adapters and free shipping.

you don necessarily have to buy here but bestbuy.com offers a fit no fit option, so you put in your vehicle make and FIT or NO FIT shows up next to the stereos you are browsing through. you can find a stereo you like and either buy there or put the model number in on crutchfield and look it up there.

This is all pretty new to me. I need all the help I can get. When I was a teenager in the mid 80'* you just bought your radio and put it in, hoping to get the right wires together without frying anything. Today'* radio'* aren't made in a one size fits all and I'm not wiring one up by trial and error!

the aftermarket harnesses are most of the time solder color to color, heat shrink or tape and plug and play. not much different than a stock radio but even the cheaper ones from crutchfeild are 100% better than anything gm was making in the 90'*

She was on Crutchfield for a long time last night. I finally went to bed but I see she has a list of what she wants in the favorites.
