Well with a factory radio i doubt your going to be able to get anything to connect to it considering the fact that u would most likely need an aftermarket radio with either it being ipod ready or have an auxilary input an run the wires behind the radio using an ipod cable

You can connect an aux input to your radio if it has an aux, cd changer, or sat button

How can the aux input be connected if there is no standard jack on the front? Is there a jack on the back of the stereo unit? Is there a special part that connects to the back?

Companies like periphial make input modules that have two plugs. One plug would connect to the plug that would origionally run into the back of the radio. The other plug would run into the radio so the box kind acts like a go between that you put in between the plug and the radio that introuces data from an alternate input source. There wont ever be any use in the front of the factory radio unless it has a factory eigth inch jack in the front. The aux input adaptor will come with one that you will have to relocate where you can easily reach it.

yup exactly the same theory. "dice" makes some like that for honda vehicles. same theory except it goes waaaaay back in the loop of being in between the plug and the back of the radio Lol!
