Default New head unit or stock tape deck....no power.

Today I tried to do a test install of my new aftermarket head unit to make sure I did the wiring to the adapter harness correctly. I used the GMRC-04 so I could keep all the chimes. I think i followed the instructions accurately, but I don't get any power when everything is hooked up. I switched back to the stock tape deck and am getting no power there also. This is in a 2001 Bonneville SE with just the tape deck. Did i mess up by wiring the Constant and switched 12v through the harness and not to separate areas elsewhere in the car.

I'm sure this sounds like a noob question, that'* because i am when it comes to car audio. I would really appreciate the input, whatever it may be. Thanks

Update: I keep blowing the audio fuse in the rear fuse box. Is there a specific direction to install the wiring harness? There are no indicators to point which way to insert it.
