Replacing the stock stereo (using the steering controls)
I have a 95 bonneville and I wanna replace the head unit. I'd prefer an aftermarket, but I still wanna use the steering wheel controls. A friend told me that you can buy wireing harness that will allow you to use those controls w/ any aftermarket head unit. Is this true or do i have to buy a oem cd player from a different car?
thanks

ou need an aftermarket deck with a with a wireless remote, and go to best-buy and get a PAC module.its 3o bucks.you have to mount the infared beam so the sensor on the deck picks up the signal. if you have a floor shifter you can mount it in the front of the shift boot.

Tweeter is the largest ripoff in the industry. NEVER GO TO TWEETER!!!!!! Here is a link to adapters:

They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it. Very easy to install.
