my A3000db has the same internals as Kole Q1 3000D, the O2 Audio OAD3000.1, the Planet Audio TT2250d, DB Drive, Soundstream and almost identicle to the Lanzar Optidrive 2000D! Which are Badass, and much more expensive

What an amp does at 17 volts does matter much to the average user, though.

Although I did look it up and a few people were swearing that it does close to rated. Although, I also read some quotes from someone who emailed a tech at PA asking about power output. He said it will do the rated 2300 watts at 1 ohm with a 150amp current draw, and has a max draw of 180 amps. Doesn't add up.

right but lower the voltage down to 14v and the amp will still do 2300 rms or more

By all your definitions, I have an active head unit. Its not very precise, but it does have high and low pass filters, and some degree of eq adjustment. My amps have no crossover set.

I don't remember the cubes because I had the box built in '07...an online company called Fisher Customs did it for me. 2300 W would be fun...

I wish I could crank the volume up higher, but it dims way too badly. I need to run a 0-gauge power cable from the alternator to the battery to see if that helps. It looks like it is going to be a real PITA to do it though.

It is, it'* 2 way active, high and low. That'* cool and all, but like you said, not very precise since you have no control over the part of your music where the most music comes from, the mids. I mean, it'* better than nothing but i'm sure you just have like 4 selectable settings for each filter.

Well it does have some strange EQ adjustments. Very weird. I have no idea how to set them. I should probably read the instruction manual to figure all that out.

We'll see how the speakers sound once I get the subs in. I know they sound very nice, but I haven't heard too much of them over the loud bass for a while.

Same reason i had to switch from 1 ohm to 4 ohm. My volt gauge would go into the red with one hit of the bass, then eventually bottom out at 8v. My little 105a alt just cant produce the power, but at 4 ohms everything is steady

My 105a alt can produce plenty of power...at 1 gauge. You upgrade that wiring yet?

It might help that my battery is only 2 feet away from the amp though.

Anyone have a good set of instructions for building a sub box? I'm going to try to make this one a little better than the last one I made.
