Out of all the subs mentioned here I only have personal experience with one, the Sundown. I will tell you that Sundown makes a beastly subwoofer and has great customer service. Anytime I've ever had a question about something, Jacob usually gets back to me within hours, if not sooner. Jacob is the owner of Sundown, I don't know of any other owner of any of the companies mentioned here who is so in touch and hands on with his customers and product. That being said, my vote would be for the Sundown SA-10. You simply can't beat the combination of beastly sub that'* horrendously underrated, works equally well in a sealed and ported alignment, as musical as any sub in it'* price range yet can take a beating and bang out the bass with the best of them and the level of customer service and accessibility of not just a CSR with no vested interest by the OWNER of the company who is there to answer your questions and take care of you as quick as Jacob does. That'* a piece of mind you just can't put a price on.
RE makes some nice subs, don't get me wrong, I have a buddy with 6 SEX 12'* in his F150 and that **** bangs! And those Pioneer Champion Series subs are no joke either, the only thing I don't like is that they try to give the impression of some brutally large motor structure when if you were to peel off all that shrouding on it you'd find nothing brutal or large about it. The same could be said for Image Dynamics ID series subs too but let me tell you, those things were the most beautiful sounding subs I've ever had or heard in my life! They are extremely efficient (can make noise on as little as 50 watts rms, crazy for a sub rated at 400 rms), can bang out with the best of them and very musical. The sound quality of these things was mind blowing. And I only had the entry level ID series. So if SQ is your thing, I highly suggest you check out the Image Dynamics IDQ10. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!

Wow, that'* a pretty bold statement there. I don't agree with that at all cause that 13w7 is one hell of a woofer! The only problem I have with them is how ridiculously overpriced they are. I absolutely love W7'*, they're an awesome product, spl is incredible, sq is equally incredible, not many subs out there can boast of the same ability to meet the levels of both like this sub can. But for the price, it'* hard to justify when you can buy two of many woofers from the companies you listed and will end up with something similar to what one W7 would give you.

Sounds like Fi and Sundown are matched in Customer Service. If I email em, Nick emails me back with in an hour if he isnt out to lunch. And they are very knowledgable about not only their product but everyones elses also.

I have heard a few W7 custom installs and wasnt impressed. Sound Quality is not bad but as for SPL.... just seems it should do more. exspecially for such a large surround and Xmax

Would you you say that the two subs I posted at the top are very similar? I'm still trying to decide between the RE, the Fi, the Sundown, and the two ED subs.
How does that Sundown and RE sub compare? They both have the same rating, but the Sundown sub costs $50 more. Is it $50 more of a sub, or what? The Fi sub looks pretty good too. Tough decision choosing between these.

Well i dont consider some buddies throwing a system together while drinking some beer a custom install. There is a place in Jackson, MI that is one of the best in the state. And they hold db competitions and car/Audio shows and thats where i got to sit in a couple W7 builds. 2 were show and one was a SPL set up. And I was expecting to get scared from the spl car and i was disappointed. They had a pretty loud L7 SPL TB SS there tho
