Default monsoon radio aux install

I bought an Aux input and it said just to plug it in the back so I did and then I pressed the CD/Aux button on the radio but nothing happens, there is a little power light on the input device and it doesn't turn on, there are also two cables hanging out a red and black but the book didn't say anything about it so I thought that they were positive and negative cables so I plugged it in to my battery and nothing happens. Please help.

Thanks

connect the red wire to the 12v radio wire and ground the other to the chassis or radio ground

ur aux input might be bad... try touch the wires to the respectable terminals on a 9v battery

Need to pull radio to replace bulbs and would love to add an aux input. Are there any details on how to do this anywhere?
My kids have iPods and my phone does pandora.

I have monsoon radio with cassette and cd but no 6 changer.
