Default Fuse holder is melting??

ok so i have a 02 bonne SSEI and im wired up for subs with 0 gauge wire and i have the 150 ANL fuse under the back seat, when i pound the sounds for a little while i can smell something burning and i lift the back seat up and its the fuse holder melting only on the input from the battery side i figured it was to close to the metal in the seat cushion so i moved it and it still does it 3 fuse holders later and i really dont have an extreme setup just a jl 1000/1 and a 13.5 w7 ANY SOLUTIONS

What size wire are you running to the fuse holder?

I would think you have one of two problems. Your wiring could be undersized for the current it is carrying, or you could have loose connections in the fuse box.

Feel the wires to see if they are hot.

I would check the power wire for a short to ground, especially where it goes through the fire wall. Or you might have a loose ground connection. I would assume 0 gauge is more than sufficient, unless you are running some super high power amp.

only feel the wire getting warm on my 5000 strand or so 0 gauge wire between the battery(which is under the back seat so no firewall involved) and the fuse holder which is about 2 1/5 feet long none of the other wire is affected and its pretty much a straight forward setup and i've had plenty of extreme setups but never this problem

you could have a short anywhere on the wire to the amp and still see the heat effects at the fuse holder.
is this a new issue or has it done it since installed because i wouldnt think that would be a good location for a battery or something you know is going to make some heat under normal operation

Do you have a good connection on the battery? How do you have the 0 gauge connected to the battery? Pics?
