Yeah my system rocks too I got:
Rampage tape deck (17x3 cause one channel was blown when I got it)
Rampage 6x9'* (20w EACH!)
Two of those 6.5'* they sell in a box at schucks (they say 300w)
1ga power and ground wire (all 24k gold)
Jensen 80x2 competition (look) amp
I got a custom 700amp fuse (basically just 12ga wire in a tube)
And the guy at the stereo shop cut me a deal at $1100! Good huh?
buzzbomber88le: First off lemme say I can always respect money being spent on a car hehe. And I'm sure your system thumps, sounds like you've spent some time on it. But on the other hand thats a HUGE fuse for what you have and a pretty big power wire at that. Not a problem but probably could have saved yourself some dough. Second, can "Jensen: and "competition" be said in the same sentence now? I've been out of the amp loop for a little bit but last I saw Jensen was what you got when you needed a temporary replacement speaker. Are they actually making a name for themselfs now? Maybe I'm not reading it right I dunno. I'm not in anyway trying to dis on your system I bet you thump. The best speakers I've dealt with are JL'*. Pick a model W1 W2+++ I think they all thump damn good. But they're pricey. Bang for buck I like MTX'* Road Thunder. Loudest I've heard (besides at the actual competitions) were two 15" Rockford solobaracs (the square ones) a buddy of mine had in an suv. Dude said (and I don't doubt it) they had 12 cu ft of air space. The box filled the back and came about 8" short of the roof. When he thumped (at half their rated wattage) I couldn't read stop signs.

Get monster rca'*. Get a better deck. You don't need the x-over. Your deck should more than control what you have.
Not to sound snotty , but I consider myself an audio pro.
If you need help , e-mail me or pm me. Any ?'* I will answer . You won't be sorry , just broke. System'* can be very expensive .

Of course power is power. All amps work almost the same way . It'* just that you moight get certain power form 1 amp which pulls about 100 amps and the same form a more expensive amps and that amp will only pull 40 amps. It'* the way it'* made and how much distortion they will provide.
