Ok... here it is straight from the manual... ... almost..
(mines a 91, but it should be the same)

To Set:
1-Write down a 6 digit number, keep it in a safe place
2-Turn the ignition on
3-Press the PWR button to turn the radio off
4-Press the PREV and FF buttons until the displace reads _ _ _
(you now have 15 seconds between each follow step)
5-Press SET and 000 will be displayed
6-Press SEEK until the first digit of your code is displayed
7-Press TUNE until the 2nd and 3rd digits appear
8-Press AM/FM (000 appears)
9-Press SEEK until the 4th digit appears
10-Press TUNE until the 5th and 6th digits appear
11-Press AM/FM (rEP) will appear, and then 000
12-Repeat steps 6 thru 10, then press AM/FM
SEC will appear if the anti theft has been programed correctly... if not _ _ _ will appear.

To Disable the Anti-Theft System
1.Turn on the ignition, and turn the radio off. Press buttons 1 & 4 on the station presets. SEC will appear.
2.Press SET and 000 will appear
3.Press SEEK for your first digit
4.Press TUNE for the 2nd and 3rd
5.Press AM/FM 000 is displayed
6.Press SEEK for your 4th digit
7.Press TUNE for your 5th and 6th digits.
9. Press AM/FM, if the display reads _ _ _ the radio is unsecure. If it displays SEC, the code was entered incorrectly. Repeat.

Hope this helps.......

You've misunderstood. My CD player was originally out of a 97 SE. it has TheftLock on it. the procedure you told me is for Delco-Loc II which came on the CD player in 89-91.

You should be able to download the manual for a 97-99 on this webpage.
