Sully...and others..I totally agree about making this flush mounted.
Looks great compared to the start already. I've got the texture paint and the gray paint.
If all of you need the same docks and are interested. I'd consider picking up a couple and making them up. I've got everything needed but the docks at the moment.
Like I said though..looks good already.

Well flush mount wil come after I get some other issues out of the way (see 92-99).
One problem I have ran into. I am getting some interference or something through the stereo. It is a really high pitched whine that'* pretty piercing after a while. It is ONLY when the usb plug is connected to the dock. When I go straight to the headphone jack, or just audio out on the dock, it'* fine. But the interference is pretty obnoxious. I am going to check for loose connections under my console tomorrow hopefully, but what else would cause/solve this problem?

Seeing where the seat button pod usually is (rather a blank plastic piece on se/sle) like mine.. the notch in it gives me the idea.. i have just a headphone like wire to rca jacks in the back of my HU for my ipod.. i now know where I can put my cable without it just lying on the floor!
thank you
i couldn't agree more though on the flushmount idea
that sounds cool actually

Version 1.0 is done. All I did was dremel out a hole the size and location of my iPod. Filed it down, and attached dock to underside. Need to hit the junkyard and grab a couple more of those pieces. This one has 2 holes in it, and I'm not satisfied with the cut. I am trying to think of a good solution to use as molding around the edges so my shitty cuts are less noticeable. It should be a very clean install. I need like 1/4" black/graphite rubber hose to slice and glue on as molding. Then permanently attach dock to underside. Stay tuned folks. Pics once I improve design.
