Amp and Subwoofer question
Hey i just got a brand new pioneer amp from work. and im looking to get a decent enclosed subwoofer package. The amp is mono...400 watts RMS 800 peak at 2 ohms... 250 rms at 500 Peak at 4 ohms. I was looking at audiobahns encloses subwoofers. Its two 12 inch subs with 800 watts rms, ive heard them and they sound awesome. But as far as hooking that amp up to it is there going to be any problems, I can always get a new amp down the line but as of right now i cant afford it.. i got 75% off the amp. I read the sticky but wasnt sure about having have the rms rating.
i was lookin to buy these subs

well what would be a good enclosed subwoofer for under 200$ shipped. I can get a discount on polk, eclipse, and kicker but thtey take way to long to get shipped because i order it from the manufacturers themselves...For the mean time i want something decent, enclosed and about 400watts rms

go to www.crutchfield.com and take a look at the subs there. They stand by their gear and they offer up lots of tech info for their equipment, not to mention lifetime support on the gear you buy.
As far as that Audiobahn sub box, you wont be giving them enough power.

Audiobahn is an up and coming brand. Like everything else, they have their low end stuff and stuff that can really pound like their excursion sub that handles like almost 2k watts.
Its all about prefference and what you can afford. Always look ahead of your current install. Because if and when you want to upgrade, it will be easier to do if you have done your homework. Car audio is a very expensive hobby.

I have always and always will be a fan of MTX. What kind of sound are you looking for? Sounds good in the car but not outside or do you want the neighbors to hear you coming? I have a single MTX 12 powered by a 300 watt mono Thunderpro 752 amp (SEVERAL years old but still kickin) and it is perfect inside the car. In fact, most of the time I run the bass at -4 to kind of even things out for everyday listening.

I have to agree........MTX rocks. Try circuit city or best buy and ask for any clearance
speakers they might have. I got mine for 43.20 apeice because they were last years model, but still brand new. They can get stuff from their warehouse within two days too.
