HU acting wierd
Just got my car back from the dealer, and it now has a 7 inch Jensen touchscreen. The problem is that the only time it receives any power is when I first unlock my doors and ther interior lights come on. Once my interior lights go off, so does the source light on the head unit. It was installed at a reputable shop, but they said they could not do anything about the problem because not using the ribbon connector would void the warranty. Someone please help!!!!!! I am a college student preparing for finals and I can not suervive without a radio

I dont have sound at all, the only time anything even lights up is when the interior lights are on from using the key fob. I just turned them on from the dashboard switch and got nothing

Did they sell you on a harness adapter ?

Bestkits.com say'*: "Must Relocate Factory Radio"
You probably need this part instead.
Peripheral Electronics Add-A-Heads
GMCO2

My guess is either someone didn't wire something properly or that the wires in the factory harness don't match up properly with the harness adapter that they sold you.
This has happened to me before and I have had to pop out the pins and reconfigure the harness adapters and the peripheral add on'* to get things to work properly.
Take it back to where you had it done and show them whats happening.
Good luck,
Dutch

Thanks, the original place did not run the power wire from the fuse box or from the ignition. I solved that problem earlier. Now when it cuts on its says "TEL MUTE" across the screen and no sound can be heard. Im assuming that it means telephone mute, but I dont know why it would say that. Anybody have any clues? Tomorrow afternoon I have drive another 25 miles across town to have it looked at by someone else
