Default My experience with audio this weekend =/

This weekend I wanted to put in my 2-12'* in the GXP. Well had some issues with finding 12v for the remote to the amp that was not on retained power and ddlader finally told me to look in my manual and it shows you how to change the fuse location so it will turn off the retained power in 10mins. Did that, hooked up everything the high level signal to RCA converter( I hooked it straight up to the rear speakers L and R) All was good for about 15mins subs working and all then I heard some static for like 10 secs and all of a sudden no subs nor rear deck speakers?!? So I backtracked, unhooked the subs and amp and still no rear deck sound only some hissing from the right speaker. What is wrong here? Did I do something to the stock monsoon amp or even worst the HU?

check the line level converter....

I can see damage to the monsoon amp or head unit.. Did you remove the line level converter??

if you did bung up the monsoon amp or HU i have one here.

and what did you use for the amp speaker wise the input or the output to the line level?

when you installed the line level what did you use the speaker in/out from the amp?

and with the converter unhooked is it still not working?
you might try to hook up another speaker and see maybe you just fried the speakers.

hmm. With the converter unhooked it is still not working.

I dont think I fryed the speakers due to the fact the the subs stop working also and it is hooked into the wires going to the rear deck speakers. So there is no signal coming from the Monsoon amp to the deck speakers.

The line converter had 5 inputs (2 -lefts 2-rights and a ground) and 2 RCA outputs that went to the amp.

I hooked it up right after the Monsoon amp that was going to the speaker. Maybe the speakers got fried and the converter? But why it wouldnt make sense.
