Default Question about aftermarket alarm

I just got a 93 Bonneville last week. It has an aftermarket Avital alarm installed. I got the remote with a dead battery. So I put a new battery in, tried it out... nothing. There'* the LED by the drivers side, I tried turning the key, or pressing a button on the remote, and the LED doesn't flash or anything. I found the box under the dash, buried in wires above the fuse box. I got some #'* off of it "4TC3350L6KC 5251 AVITAL". I got the car with a brand-new engine put it, so I don’t know if something wasn't reconnected. Does anyone know anything about how these are connected, or if there'* a fuse some where that needs to be replaced, or if anyone can find a manual for this? I couldn't find one on Avital'* website. Thanks for any help!!

I know theres a switch under the dash (pretty sure it'* to turn on/off the auto arm thing). I'm not sure about the button. I'll look tomorrow for that.

Check the switch and see if it is like a kill switch for the alarm. Best way is to take a test light to the prongs on the switch. You can also try hitting lock, unlock, lock on the transmitter while the drivers side door is open. On most alarms it will turn the valet mode on or off. Or simply disconnecting the positive battery terminal will do the trick. Best bet is to call the company and ask them. If worse comes down to worse take it to a local audio place that installs alarms and have them check it out.
