more speakers
i've got a 90 bonne and im going to put four 6x9 in the back deck and im wonderin if i should go with a four channel amp or a two channel amp on 2 of them and the headunit on the other two. i would like to use the four channel amp but then i would need two more speakers for the back channels on the headunit.does ne one know where a good place to put them would be?

Yea, I suppose you could put them in the rear doors. Maybe a pair of 6.5'* instead of 6x9'* though.
It sounds like you're a budget but I think the idea here would be to improve the equipment in the factory locations instead of cutting holes all over the place. We'll start with what you already have.
JVC head unit. CHECK
Pair 1 6x9?
Pair 2 6x9?
Amp yet?
Any front spkrs yet other than factory?

I would just upgrade the factory speakers and get a 4 channel amp. No need for 4 6x9'*. Plus it sounds like your on a budget so why spend extra money for no reason.

first, i have already replaced the 4x6 in the front and the factory 6x9'*. my idea was to add another pair of 6x9'* to the rear deck, then to add some to the back doors. not for sure on that location. ne where would be ok as long as in the end is looks right. secondly is not that im on a budget its just that i want the speakers in the car to be good b4 i put subs in. i want to hear highs, mids and lows. when i had my last system i could barely hear the voices.

Then you have to choose a good amp to power your mids & highs. It seems to me that you were overpowering the bass so that you couldnt hear the highs to well. Its going to come down to your setup. I had no problems hearing my highs when I had my system. In my '91 I had Polk 4x6 plates, Polk 6x9'* in there rear. I had a piar of Polk 6 1/2'* laying around so I installed them in the front doors. I used a Kenwood 4 channel amp to power them. I wired the 4x6'* to the front channel(highs). I ran the 6 1/2'* & 6x9'* off the rear channel(more midbass than highs). Then I had the MTX tri box as the subs, with the MTX 150x2 powering them. Then I later went to 2 12" JBL GT'*. Either setup was perfect. No matter how loud I turned up the volume/bass You could still hear the highs fine.

Adding more speakers doesn't make ANYTHING better. You're only going to cause problems with the soundwaves crossing and conflicting. You're best bet is to get some High quality speakers, on a 4 way amp, and have a deck that has a great parametric EQ setup.
Your deck puts out 20-25w RMS on each channel.
